  • The Stratford Historical Society, and the Town of Stratford, present "I Now Pronounce You Lucy Stone." In this inspiring one-act play, Judith Kalaora portrays one of America's first, and least known, Suffragettes, Lucy Stone. Lucy Stone was the first woman in America to graduate from college. She was an inspiration for much of the work that Susan B. Anthony carried out in her battle for equal suffrage in America.  Join us at 7:30 pm on Thursday, May 28th, at Stratford's Town Hall, for an enlightening evening.  For more information, please visit www.historyatplay.com.

  • The Library plans to celebrate Women’s History Month throughout March. The conclusion of this program will examine the book “Olive, Again” by Elizabeth Strout, a Pulitizer Prize-winning author, at 12:00pm in the Library Board Room. The Library Children’s Department is recognizing Women’s History Month as well, including bingo, crafts and a Girl Power celebration.
