PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, The Stratford Community Organizations Council is an unincorporated group of independent agencies and organizations in Stratford; and

WHEREAS, The Stratford Community Organizations Council was formed for the purpose of stimulating increased participation in community services, including voluntary coordination of community, educational, recreational and human service programs of all agencies in the Town of Stratford; and

WHEREAS, The Stratford Community Organizations Council is a mechanism for facilitating programming between two or more organizations to address community needs; and

WHEREAS, The Stratford Community Organizations Council will celebrate their 30th Anniversary this year.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, James R. Miron, Mayor of the Town of Stratford, do hereby proclaim December 4, 2008 as STRATFORD COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS COUNCIL DAY in the Town of Stratford and congratulate the Stratford Community Organizations Council on celebrating its 30th anniversary with every best wish for continued success.
