Dawn Severine has a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University and a Masters degree from the University of New Haven.  Her certifications include: Licensed Food Inspector, Phase I & II Subsurface Sewage, and Lead Inspector.

She came to the Stratford Health Department in 1995 as a part time employee.  In 1997, an additional full time postition was added to the department which she was hired for.
