Tips for grilling Keep all protein based foods in the refrigerator or on ice until ready to place on the grill. Do not use the same plate for the raw protein based foods as for any of the cooked foods. Cook all ground meat thoroughly to at least 165 degrees F. for 15 seconds. Always wash your hands before and after touching raw protein based food. |

Cooking Turkey Safely Thaw turkey in refrigerator several days before cooking. Do not thaw at room temperature. Do not cook stuffing inside turkey. Cook stuffing seperately. Purchase a turkey that has a pop up timer to tell you when the turkey is done.
