We have hired a gardener again this spring to improve the flower beds around the course and building. We will be making other improvements in the near future.   We have added two carts and will be adding pull carts.  In addition ,we will have on sale soon sleeves of monogrammed golf balls with the new Short Beach Golf Course Logo as well as hats and golf shirts.

You will also see the Rangers out on the course more this season in an effort to speed up play.  They are there to enforce the rules and help keep play moving.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.   Please note on the scorecards and on white disks on the course, the amount of time it should take you to get to this hole.  Note your starting time and try to comply to these guidelines.  If everyone helps out we can speed up play.

Welcome back for another great golfing season.  We will be installing a new pond aerator in the 9th pond to add to the awsthetics of the hole.  We plan on starting a beautification project around #2 tee by adding trees, flowers, shrubs and mulch.  We will also be installing a new practice bunker in the practice field adjacent to #2 tee.

  • Proper etiquette and attire are required while playing the golf course, including the putting green. No cigarette butts on the greens as well as other course areas.
  • Please be courteous and do not hit until the grounds crew is out of reach fo being hit. We would like to prevent serious injury to our staff.
  • Please fix your ball marks and one other on each green. Also we ask you replace your divots on tees and fairways.
  • Please keep all golf cars and pull carts 30 feet from greens and tees and on cart path and behind roped areas.
  • Rake all bunkers after hitting from them and please leave rake near trap.
  • Please do not intentionally hit golf balls into neighboring houses especially holes #8 and #9. Those caught doing so shall be suspended from playing the course.
  • Replace all ropes around green. Please go around ropes and not over them.  You could hurt yourself by tripping.
  • Remember only 7 strokes per hole. Please pick up your ball and move on to next hole.
