Announcements

Updated August 26, 2010 

• The next Nature Walking Program is Sunday August 29 from 8-10 am at the Great Meadows Marsh.  Registration is August 16-27.  Will meet at the Duchess parking lot.  
• Next Day Swim Lesson Registration is Wednesday Sept 8 from 6:30-7:30 pm at Short Beach Park.  Lessons are Monday and Wednesday or Thursday only.  Lessons begin September 13.
• Saturday Swim Lesson registration is Saturday Sept 11 from 9-10 am at Short Beach Park.  Lessons begin Sat Sept 18. 
• Summer Concerts on the Green continue with Gunsmoke Country Band on August 31 at 7:00 pm and the Airborne on Tuesday September 7 at 7:00 pm.  Full Schedule under Lifetime Activities.  
• Registration for most fall classes begin August 23.  Registration will continue Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm at the Recreation Dept Office or 24 hrs a day online at www.townofstratford.com/recreation.   Office is open Saturdays from 9-2 pm. 
• Register online for most Recreation Department Programs.  Simply call the Recreation Dept. office for your user name and password, click on "Register Online for Programs" on the Recreation Dept home page and find your activity to register.  Listed next to each program is the Activity Number and Section Number to assist you in finding the activity.   
• Short Beach Picnic Pavilion Reservations accepted at the Recreation Dept starting March 1.  Forms are under Online Documents.

Public Hearings

• Parks and Recreation Committee: 4th Wednesday of each month, 6:00 PM @ Town Hall Room 217 - no meeting in July 
• Short Beach Commission: First Monday of each month, 6:00 PM @ Short Beach Park Administration Building - no meeting in July and September.
