The Registrars of Voters are responsible for the administration of all local, state and national elections; the registration of all eligible voters; and the conduct of primaries and referendums.

Please keep in mind the following:

1. If you are 17 years of age, and will be 18 on or before Election Day, you are eligible to register and vote.

2. When switching from one major party to another, there is a 3-month waiting period to gain new party privilege.  

3. To change party affiliation, you must fill out a new voter registration card indicating you wish to do so, and what you wish your new party to be. This can be done in person at the Registrar of Voters Office OR online on the CT Voter Registration website.

4. Early voting starts on Monday, August 5, and is available for seven days, ending on Sunday August 11, 2024. Early voting is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on each day of early voting, except for Tuesday, August 6, and Thursday, August 8, when extended early voting hours are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Early Voting is taking place at the Baldwin Center, 1000 W. Broad Street, Stratford, CT.

5. The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.   Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
