Welcome to Scores on Doors - Nail Salon Edition!
The Town of Stratford recently passed an ordinance that requires nail salons in Stratford to post a grade on their door following an inspection. Scoring is as follows:
A - “an inspection score of 90 to 100, with no 4 or 5 point demerit items and no more than two (2) risk factor violations.”
B - "an inspection score of 80 to 90, with no 4 or 5 point demerit items and not more than four (4) risk factor violations."
C - "an inspection score of less than 79, or the presence of one or more 4 or 5 point violations, or more than four (4) risk factor violations, or the presence of any chronic, previously identified risk factor violations that have not been corrected."
A risk factor is defined in section 55-9 and 55-8 of the Stratford Town Code.
The most recent health inspections for each nail salon establishment in Stratford are listed here. Inspections are typically done every 6 months.
