The 2025 Forest fire season is upon us and Stratford residents are reminded to check the fire danger level prior to starting any fire within the Town.
Residents may check at any firehouse or by calling the Fire marshal office during regular business hours or the state Deep fire danger level website. There is a fire ban if the fire level reaches HIGH. Residents should always follow safe practices when kindling a fire.
