Two Lights for Tomorrow

Two Lights for Tomorrow is a nationwide initiative to commence the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States' founding with the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776.

The lights commemorate Paul Revere's legendary ride, which took place overnight on April 18th - 19th, 1775.

Monday, April 7th 7:00 p.m. at the Baldwin Center: At the start of the Town Council meeting, we’ll hear a portion of Longfellow's famous poem, Paul Revere's Ride, narrated by Stratford Town Historian David Wright — complete in period attire — and discover Stratford’s role in the spreading the word!

Friday, April 18th: Participate in Two Lights for Tomorrow with organizations and individuals throughout our Town, State, and Country by illuminating two lights outside your building or home during the evening.

Friday, April 18th - Friday, May 3rd: Come together For the Common Good. Plan or participate in a community service project any time between Friday, April 18th and the Housatonic River Cleanup on May 3rd.
